ROCKFORD — A Rockford woman was jailed Thursday for allegedly shooting a 16-year-old boy.
Samantha Holt, 33, is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated domestic battery, charges that stem from a domestic dispute police say happened in the area of Arline Avenue and Richmond Street.
Just after 11:00 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to the area and located the victim who had been shot in the legs. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say Holt fled on foot and was arrested a short distance from the scene. A weapon was recovered.
Holt is being held without bond in the Winnebago County Jail. She’s due in court Dec. 17. R.
