ROCKFORD – Charges have been filed against a 26-year-old Rockford man in a homicide that occurred last December.

Nickles T. Parks was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder, concealing a homicide an armed robbery in connection with the death of 31-year-old Jamie Stephens.

Stephens’ body was found Dec. 10 in the 9200 block of Knapp Road. He had been shot several times.

Parks is lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. His bond is currently set at $2 million. He’s due in court Feb. 20. R.
