ROCKFORD — A 42-year-old Chicago woman was jailed in Rockford Saturday for alleging stabbing another woman.

Lsean Gilmore is charged with aggravated battery with a knife and aggravated assault. Police say those charges stem from an incident that happened in the early morning hours of April 6 at a home in the 1400 block of Christian Street.

Police say the victim was in the home with a man with whom Gilmore had a domestic relationship when the stabbing occurred.

The victim was stabbed several times. Her wounds were not life threatening.

Gilmore is being held held in the Winnebago County Jail. Bond is set at $10,000. She’s due in court May 16. R.
