Police investigate attempted bank robbery on Rockford’s south side

ROCKFORD — The Rockford Police Department is investigating an attempted bank robbery that occurred on the city’s south side Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the incident occurred just about 4 p.m., at U.S. Bank, 3210 11th Street, according to a tweet by the department. The suspect fled the scene without obtaining any cash. No injuries were reported.
A description of the suspect has not been released. The Rock River Times will have more on this story as it develops.
RPD is investigating an attempted bank robbery shortly after 4 pm at the US Bank in the 3200 block of 11th St. No one hurt. Suspect fled without obtaining any currency.
