Four men shot during argument

ROCKFORD – An argument on Fourth of July turned violent Thursday night as for four were shot on Rockford’s west side.

Police say shortly after 10:00 p.m., Rockford officers responded to the 1100 block of Preston Street and learned the victims, ages 47, 38, 33 and 32, were struck by gunfire and taken to local hospitals. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

The incident is not believed to be random as all the individuals involved knew each other.
