Cycle on 2nd returns Sept. 8

ROCKFORD – The second annual Cycle on 2nd returns to Rockford Sunday, Sept. 8. 

The event is hosted by I Bike Rockford. Starting at Rockford City Hall, the ride stretches for two miles along Second Street, parallel to the Rock River with a mid-point section full of food, refreshments, fun, and games.

“The experience is meant to spread awareness about bike safety, community relationships, and alternative transportation options,” I Bike Rockford said in a statement. “But the best part is that it offers everyone a unique and novel view of Rockford that is personalized and rewarding.”

The event runs from 8-11 a.m. starts at 8 a.m. It is free, and open to all ages.  Cyclists are free to pedal the route at their own pace.
