Loves Park man charged with multiple counts of child pornography

ROCKFORD – A grand jury has indicted a Loves Park man after images of lewd acts of children were found found on his computer, Winnebago County State’s Attorney Maryilyn Hite Ross’s office announced Thursday. 

Bernard P. McQuade, 48, is charged with multiple counts of child pornography, charges that stem from a search warrant that was conducted July 30 at his home in the 5800 block of Birkenshaw Lane. 

Child pornography is a Class 2 felony, punishable by a sentence of three to seven years in the Illinois
Department of Corrections followed by two years to natural life on parole. 

McQuade is scheduled to be arraigned on the indictment at 9 a.m., Oct. 1. His mugshot was unavailable.
