ROCKFORD – The Winnebago County Health Department reported 57 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases Sunday, bringing the county’s total number of infections to 1,501.

As of this report, there are 1,501 cases of the respiratory disease in the county, including many people who have already recovered.

There have now been 14,943 tests administered in Winnebago County, 5,756 of which are still pending. As of Sunday, 41 people have died from complications of COVID-19.

Statewide, there have been 94,191 cases and 4,177 deaths in 100 counties In the past 24 hours, laboratories have processed 20,295 COVID-19 tests for a total of 581,944.  The statewide seven-day rolling infection rate is 15%.
