Rockford man wanted for attempted murder arrested

ROCKFORD – A Rockford man wanted in connection with a shooting that left another man wounded last weekend is behind bars.
Taushon Lamar Henderson, 23, was taken into custody Thursday.
The shooting occurred Sunday, Sept. 19. A 19-year-old man was shot in the abdomen. Police developed Henderson as a suspect after responding to a local hospital where the victim was being treated.
He is charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Bond has been set at $1 million. He’s due in court Oct. 26.
