ROCKFORD — Anthony Hamilton gives back in Rockford through his Passion For The Clippers. Every third Monday, Ant and crew donate free haircuts through a project put together by community activist Erinn Katy.

“Some people, they got more than others,” says Hamilton in the latest Our City, Our Story entry. “Some parents can’t afford to get their kid’s hair cut. So we come out once a month, every third Monday, to donate haircuts.”

Hamilton says a troubled youth turned him toward his passion for the clippers.

“I’d been in a lot of trouble growing up as a kid. But once I got out from there, that’s when I really started focusing on the clippers more.”

Now, Hamilton and a team of friends lend time at various locations around Rockford to help people in their community.

“Whatever we can do to get involved, that’s what we do.” R.
