UPDATE: According to police, the victims in Friday’s shooting suffered non-life threatening injuries.

ROCKFORD — Officers with the Rockford Police Department are on the scene of a shooting in the 2200 block South Fifth Street.

According to early reports, the victims are a woman and a child. Their ages are unknown at this time.
