ROCKFORD – Police in Rockford are searching for a suspect they say was involved in a stabbing that occurred Monday afternoon.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to a local hospital and learned 30-year-old victim was stabbed in the neck in the parking lot of the Citgo gas station, 2837 11th Street. The victim remains in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a white male who fled the scene in an older green conversion van.
