ROCKFORD — The man killed in a stabbing at a Rockford park has been identified.

Police say Ronnie Ray, 38, of Rockford, was discovered suffering from stab wounds Friday night inside the gazebo at Fairgrounds Park,, 450 Kilburn Ave. He was later pronounced dead OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center.

Ray’s death marks Rockford’s fifth homicide of 2019. R.
