Rockford man faces additional gun charges

ROCKFORD – A man jailed on other allegations now faces additional charges in connection with a shooting incident earlier this year.
At around 2:40 p.m., March 31, Rockford patrol officers responded to a shots-fired report in the 1900 block of South Fourth Street. Police say the suspect fired shots at a vehicle during a dispute.
Mykel Curry, 29, of Rockford, is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Curry is being held on a $1 million bond. He’s due in court June 20.
