Rockford man arrested after deputies find ‘large amount’ of cocaine

ROCKFORD – A Rockford man was jailed Tuesday after the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Ashland Avenue and located what is reported as a “large amount” of crack and powder cocaine.
Tommy C. Staff, 49, is charged with possession with intent to deliver 15-100 grams of cocaine.
Sheriff deputies executed the search warrant at about 8:30 a.m., Tuesday.
Staff is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections and is lodged without bond in the Winnebago County Jail. He made his first court appearance this afternoon.
