Mercyhealth adds obstetrician to McFarland clinic
Staff Report
ROCKFORD – Mercyhealth welcomes Dr. Bishara Baddour to the physician staff of Mercyhealth McFarland, 2780 McFarland Road.
Baddour says he aims to foster a close relationship with all his patients.
“My philosophy of care is to establish a relationship on a personal level with my patients and supplement this trust with my medical expertise to help encourage and foster the best possible version of one’s self. I understand a person’s health is a sacred thing,” said. “I empathize with the vulnerability one encounters and anxiety one feels in presenting for an office problem visit or surgical procedure. You want everything to be ok. I get it—I do too. Fortunately, in women’s health, the large majority of problems we encounter are common and can be remedied, completely cured in many instances, and/or are preventable with medication, surgical intervention (often minor) and lifestyle modification, respectively.”
Baddour earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies, and served his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago.
His special interests include natural or cesarean childbirth, including vaginal birth after cesarean;
evidence-based care of high-risk obstetrical patients; collaboration with maternal-fetal medicine specialists; surgical gynecology, including hysterectomy; pre-conception planning; and evaluating and managing menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding and menopause.
Dr. Baddour now welcomes new patients. To make an appointment, call (815) 971-3070.
