ROCKFORD – The City of Rockford on Wednesday announced a new app to help citizens during the winter season.

The city’s Snow and Ice app provides information on snow emergencies, odd/even parking rules and a residential progress map, which shows if routes have been completed, are in progress or haven’t been started yet.

To download the app to a phone, visit https://815snowinfo.glideapp.io. Users will need to provide an email address for the download; however, users will not receive any emails from the City as a result.

Residents can also sign up to receive text alerts about our snow operations by texting ROCKFORDSNOW to 888777.
