VERNON HILLS – The Eisenhower Eagles moved to 23-4 on the season by beating Lake In The Hills Marlow 44-34, Wednesday night in the IESA Class 4A eighth-grade sectional finals at Vernon Hills Hawthorn North.

The Eagles will face Markham Prairie-Hills (19-2) on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Urbana Middle School in the IESA state quarterfinals with the semifinals taking place at 5 p.m.

The Eagles are just the third Rockford Public Schools team to qualify for IESA state in eighth grade boys basketball. Flinn advanced to 8-4A state in 2017 and Marshall made it to 8-3A state in 2013.
