Nicholas Conservatory honoring 2020 graduates with school colors

ROCKFORD – The Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens, on Monday night, kicked off”Glowing for Grads,” the Rockford Park District’s way to celebrate local 2020 graduates by lighting up the facility with school colors.

For the next month, the conservatory and gardens will bear colors of each Rockford-area high school and colleges: Rockford Career College, Rock Valley College, and Rockford University.

Lights will go on at dusk and stay on through each night.

Citizens are encouraged visit the display, however, gathering in groups is discouraged. Face coverings and social distancing are highly recommended.

Following area dates for each school’s colors.

5/11 Boylan High School: Green and White
5/13 East High School: Red
5/15 Keith School and Home School: Red, White and Blue
5/18 Rockford Christian High School and Cathedral Baptist: Blue
5/19 Belvidere North High School: Blue, Red and Yellow
5/20 Rockford Lutheran High School and Lydia Learning Academy: Purple and White
5/21 Freeport High School and Winnebago High School: Orange
5/22 Jefferson High School: Red, White and  Yellow
5/25 Auburn High School: Red
5/26 Belvidere High School: Purple and Yellow
5/27 Guilford High School: Light Blue and White
5/28 Rockford Iqra and School Spectrum School: Blue and Light Blue
5/29 Harlem High School: Orange
6/1 Roosevelt High School and South Beloit High School: Red
6/2 Pecatonica High School: Purple and Yellow
6/3 Christian Life High School and Durand High School: Blue and White
6/4 Hononegah High School: Purple and Yellow
6/5 Berean Baptist and North Love Christian School: Red
6/8 Our Lady of Sacred Heart Academy and Legacy Charter School: Blue & Red
6/9 Rock Valley College: Blue and Yellow
6/10 Rockford Career College: Green and Blue
