Rock Valley College launches new shuttle bus route to help students get to class
ROCKFORD — Rock Valley College is making it easer for students to get to class by launching a new shuttle bus route.
The new route connects RVC’s main campus, downtown campus, Advanced Technology Center and the Stenstrom Center for Career Education.
The shuttle runs Monday through Friday and is free to students.
The college is connecting its campuses to reduce transportation challenges for students living throughout the district.
“Transportation can be a barrier to education, especially as students prepare to return to in-person learning,” Rock Valley College wrote in a release.
RVC is using money from the Higher Education Relief Funds (HEERF) authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) and American Rescue Plan (ARP) to fund the initiative.
