Staff Report
ROCKFORD – The Rockford School Board has selected a local accountant to fill the board vacancy in Subdistrict G.
June Standord, a controller at Kelley Williamson, was selected Thursday, the day the board interviewed a total of four candidates during an open session of a special meeting: Terri Schierer, Roger Smith, Stanford and Dyanna Walker.
“The board is grateful to have four qualified candidates apply for the Subdistrict G vacancy, and for their willingness to serve the community in this important role,” Board President Ken Scrivano said in a release.
Rockford School Board member Jaime Escobedo resigned from the board May 29.
Following board approval, Stanford will be sworn in at the July 9 meeting. Her term will run through the next school board election in April 2021.
