Police investigate armed robbery at Rockford Burger King

ROCKFORD – Rockford Police investigators are searching for two suspects they say held up a Burger King Monday night.

Shortly before 9 p.m., officers responded to 2434 11th St. and learned two armed men entered the business and jumped over the front counter. The suspects pointed a gun at one
employee, demanded money and struck the employee in the back of the head with the
firearm.

One of the men then demanded another employee, whose infant was present, open the cash register while other chased a third employee out of the restaurant and took the employee’s phone.

Both suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

Police say both suspects are black males. The first suspect is approximately 22
years old, 5-9, 150 pounds. He was wearing a gray hoodie with the hood up, black
gloves, black pants and gray shoes. He was armed with a black handgun.

The other suspect is approximately 23 years old. He’s 6 feet 2 inches and 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, black gloves, black pants and black shoes.
