Suspect in Rockford homicide arrested in Chicago

ROCKFORD — A Rockford man charged in a homicide at a local park is now behind bars.
At around 4 p.m., Monday, members of the Chicago Police Department and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force arrested 23-year-old Keith Delao, the man police say stabbed 38-year-old Ronnie Ray multiple times April 26. Ray was found inside the gazebo at Fairgrounds Park. He died at a local hospital.
The incident marked Rockford’s fifth homicide of the year.
Delao is charged with three counts of first-degree murder. His bond is set $2 million. He’s due in court June 13.
